Isn't it time you get your (headstock) wings?

Dime It
The late great Dimebag Darrell is a serious metal guitar hero, and Dean's series of Dimebag models pays homage. Dimebag started playing Dean ML style guitars in the late '70s, and made it one of the most recognizable shapes today. Dean offers a wide variety of Dimebag models to choose from, all boasting Dimebag's distinctive look and tons of mojo and attitude.

Basswood Body
The Dimeblade features a lightweight basswood body. Basswood is great for heavier rock and metal styles, delivering a nice even tone that feeds a dirt pedal (or a dimed Marshall) nicely.

Bolt-On Construction
Bolt-on neck construction provides an affordable alternative to set-neck or thru-body designs. The advantage of this design is that if you do have any neck trouble down the line, you can easily replace it.

The DB's maple neck features an ultra-playable 22-fret rosewood fingerboard, with custom arrow inlays and a DB razor inlay at the 12th fret.

Dean Humbucker Pickups
To capture the biting tones of vintage Deans, the company includes two of its standard humbuckers, which provide more than enough bite for modern styles, along with plenty of low-end and midrange definition. The standard three-way selector allows bridge, neck, or a combination. Each pickup gets a volume pot, and they share the tone control.

Grover Tuners
If you play guitar then you know what this means--solid, dependable tuning from the industry standard. These tuning machines are a triumph in engineering and style, with a gear ratio of 14:1, perfect gear meshing, and zero backlash and slippage. The gear box has a special lubricant for lifetime, trouble-free service.

Tune-o-Matic Bridge
The '79's Tune-o-Matic bridge with string-thru body design provides even more sustain, along with precise intonation for your tuning preference. The classic v-shaped plate mirrors the headstock wings for some nice vintage Dean style.

DBD Traction Knobs
Dimebag always rocked his "traction knobs," which he created by taking a soldering iron to them, for knobs that are grippable no matter how much sweat's pouring off you on stage. Dean faithfully recreates that here.

This allows the guitar string to vibrate completely for maximum sustain, creating a warm, full sound distinctive of classic rock 'n' roll.

Vintage tremolo bridge, Dean humbuckers.

Dean diecast tuners.

The Dean Vendetta Series
With four models to choose from, the Vendettas have string-through-body design, classic Dean V Ferrule pattern, dual Humbuckers, a 25.5-inch scale, and solid mahogany bodies with a maple neck. The Vendetta 1.0 and 2.0 are bolt-on models with black hardware. The 2.0 model features a solid flame maple top. The Vendetta 3.0 and 4.0 sport neck-through construction with the Pearl Evil Eye inlay running the length of the fretboard. The 4.0 version has a beautiful quilted maple top and is available in an all too popular "Tiger Eye" finish.

Paulownia Body
Paulownia is an increasingly popular substitute for mahogany in more affordable guitar models. It's a fast-growing, hearty tree native to Japan and Southeast Asia, and has traditionally been used for Asian string instruments.

As a lightweight, porous body wood, Paulownia is somewhat similar to swamp ash in its sonic signature: very resonant, with plenty of chime and a nice, tight low-end.

Bolt-On Construction
The Vendetta XM uses bolt-on construction, an affordable alternative to set-neck or thru-body designs. The advantage of this design is that if you do have any neck trouble down the line, you can easily replace it.

The maple neck features an ultra-playable 24-fret rosewood fingerboard, with classic dot inlays.

Dean Humbucker Pickups
To capture the biting tones of vintage Deans, the company includes two humbuckers. These pickups should provide more than enough bite for modern styles, along with plenty of low-end and midrange definition. The standard three-way selector allows bridge, neck, or a combination, and volume and tone controls are provided.

Dean Diecast Tuners
Dean's sealed diecast tuners offer solid tuning and mechanics, for a long lifetime of dependable performance.

Vintage Tremolo Bridge
Add a little flavor to your playing, from subtle vibrato to full-on dive bombs.

Dimebag started playing Dean ML style guitars in the late '70s, and made it one of the most recognizable shapes today. Dean offers a wide variety of Dimebag MLs to choose from, all boasting Dimebag's distinctive look and tons of mojo and attitude.

Mahogany Body with Flame Maple Top
As with the original ML, Dean uses a mahogany body for the Black Bolt. Mahogany is a common choice for electrics, dependably delivering a warm, full tone with plenty of punch and sustain.

And of course there's the lightning graphics, to help inspire your fingers on the fretboard.

Bolt-On Construction
Bolt-on neck construction provides an affordable alternative to set-neck or thru-body designs. The advantage of this design is that if you do have any neck trouble down the line, you can easily replace it.

The gear box has a special lubricant for lifetime, trouble-free service.

Floyd Rose Special Tremolo
The patented and often imitated double-locking design of the Floyd Rose tremolo allows you to lock your guitar in tune at the nut and at the bridge. Engineered like no other tremolo system, the Floyd's high-quality steel parts are manufactured to exacting specifications. Beat it up as much as you want--from traditional vibrato to dive bombing leads or flapping loose strings, and stay in tune while you do it.

DBD Traction Knobs
Dimebag always rocked his "traction knobs," which he created by taking a soldering iron to them, for knobs that are grippable no matter how much sweat's pouring off you on stage. Dean faithfully recreates that here.

We started with a body styled and contoured for comfort and the choice basswood to make them lighter. The maple necks were profiled to be faster and sleeker than virtually all other. We designed a "uniquely Dean" custom neck joint and heel along with our asymmetrical 4 bolt pattern creating uninterrupted access all the way up the two octave neck. The Edge Bass is offered in four, five and string models. Experience one of the worlds fines basses - the Dean Edge!
